On April 25th,Danfoss attended the 19th Annual Danish Chamber of Commerce China (DCCC)Charity Gala Ball held in Beijing as one of the sponsors to further supportSurmang Foundation and Apple Foundation in their ground-breaking charity worksto help mothers and infants in rural China.

SurmangFoundation is a US-based NGOdedicated to improving public health in China focusing on the mothers andchildren of China's ultra-poor in Tibetan-inhabited areas in Qinghai; And AppleCharity Foundation is a Beijing-basednon-public foundation committed to promoting educational, medical and culturaldevelopments in Tibetan-inhabited areas.
2015年度慈善晚會募集的善款將用于繼續支持2014年度的慈善項目，即由蘇莽基金會發起并管理的產科中心建設項目。2014年度的善款已經促成了兩座產科中心在青海省玉樹州的建立，之前當地大部分地區保持著20%的嬰兒死亡率和3%的孕產婦死亡率，產科中心建成后將明顯改善當地產婦的醫療條件，并使新生兒死亡率逐步下降。2015年度的善款將用于再建兩座產科中心，覆蓋更為廣泛的地區。
Most proceedsfrom sponsorships and auctions at the ball will go to further support of thecharity project of last year which is the child birth centers construction thatinitiated and managed by Surmang Foundation. All proceeds from last year hascontributed to the establishment of two child birth centers in Qinghai provincewhere the previous infant and maternal mortality rates were as high as 20% and3% respectively. The establishment of birth centers will improve medicalconditions and decrease mortality rates gradually. And most proceeds from thisyear will be used to build two more birth centers to cover a broader area.
此外，本年度的部分善款還將用于蘋果基金會的云南藏區項目，為云南藏區添置亟需的出生醫療設備，旨在幫助更多偏遠貧困地區的母親和兒童，使他們得到有保障的醫療服務。
In addition,some proceeds from this year will go to the project of Tibetan minority inYunnan Province managed by Apple Foundation to buy much needed medical birthequipment. This will help more mothers and infants in rural China and offermuch medical security.
青海藏區和云南藏區均地處偏遠山區，人均日收入在1到6元人民幣之間，大大低于國內和國際平均水平，且新生兒的死亡率和孕產婦的死亡率遠高于世界其他地方。更為可惜的是，超過80%的孕產婦死亡率是可以通過有效的治療來避免的。對此，蘇莽基金會和蘋果基金會采取了一系列積極措施，通過與當地政府合作，以及現在與中國丹麥商會所屬包括丹佛斯在內的丹麥公司的合作，正穩步將他們的服務模式融入公共衛生體系，幫助當地居民提高健康水平。
The Tibetan minorities in the remote andsparsely populated areas in Tibet, Qinghai and Yunan make merely 1-6￥/day, drastically lowerthan international and national average while their infant mortality andmaternal mortality are significantly higher than their peers almost anywherearound the globe. It is even more a pity that 80% of such mortality could beavoided via effecitvie treatment. Responding to this, Surmang Foundation andApple Foundation both have taken proactive actions. In partnership with thelocal government, and now with that of Danfoss and other Danish companies underthe umbrella of DCCC, the two Foundations is moving their model into the publichealth system to improve the health care level for local citizens.
